Target USA CUP is excited to welcome the Texas Qualifier Winners, FC Atlas U11 boys from Wichita, Kansas!
In just eight days, 12 FC Atlas players will make the trip to Target USA CUP! The team is bringing Nick, Aaron, Sol, Leroy, Javier, Micah, Joaren, Cristian, Joakim, Riley, Jackson and Adam along on the journey.
We had the chance to ask a team representative, Violette Gomez, some questions about the boys’ soccer season and their preparation for the tournament.
WHAT IS THE TEAM MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO AT TARGET USA CUP?
“After a disappointing loss at the Target USA CUP in 2021, FC Atlas is looking forward to competing again. Over the past year, the team has been training and preparing to bring their best game to the tournament and bring home the trophy this year!”
How has your season been going since the Texas Qualifier?
“FC Atlas has had a great 2022 showing, finishing first in their U12 indoor winter league and first in their U11-D1 outdoor spring league.
After winning the USA Target Cup qualifier in February, FC Atlas went on to compete in and win two other tournaments in Kansas City – the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic and the Kansas City Invitational.”
