With recent memories of mud-caked snow on the ground, adult soccer in Minnesota feels like a distant pipe dream, right? Wrong.

We can’t make summer come faster, but we can provide an opportunity to keep your soccer skills fresh in a fun, indoor environment. Of course, I’m talking about the MNUFC Adult League Summer Session

The MNUFC Adult League is a place where adults can continue their love for the game in competitive environment, but it also brings more to the table. Here’s three things about the league that keeps participants coming back:

1. Balance of competition

The league is stacked with four divisions (Coed, Men’s Open, Men’s 38+, Men’s 48+), so players of all levels and ages can bring their A-game. Carlos Mostek, a veteran of the Men’s 38+ division, said that’s one of the league’s features that keeps his team coming back:

“I really love how it is a good balance between a structured league, but enough casual aspect that it isn’t an overwhelming amount of extra overhead… We are a team of players who love getting exercise and having some friendly competition. This league is a good balance between casual and competitive and our team fits right into that. We [also] love that there are different age groups.”

2. Community

The league has an 8 game guarantee in the summer, which means that you’ll have ample time to get familiar with other teams, managers and referees. It’s a great opportunity to build relationships with like minded soccer-heads in the area. Just ask league participant Mary Pipenhagen:

“It has been a great opportunity to get to know fellow coaches outside of just coaching events. Our team is on a first name basis with the referees – especially Stanley!”

3. League Perks

They don’t call it the MNUFC Adult League just for show. The league offers Minnesota United perks, as well as coupons to local breweries and restaurants, Victory Links Golf Course and free ice skating at the NSC Super Rink.

There it is. Three things that keep league participants coming back the NSC. We’ll see you this summer!
