Welcome back to Faces of the CUP! Today’s spotlight is on Jackson Schulte, Assistant Operations Manager at the National Sports Center. Jackson has worked at the NSC for just over 3 years, and this is his 3rd Target USA CUP.
The Operations team prepares for USA CUP all year round. Jackson and his team work with other departments on campus to ensure they have what they need to make this tournament run smoothly. Whether it is cleaning up the campus so it is ready for USA CUP or ordering the golf carts that the staff and volunteers drive around, Operations does it all and we are incredibly grateful.
Jackson explained that preparing for USA CUP can be incredibly challenging yet rewarding. “There are a thousand things going on at one time that I have to delegate to my team to make sure it gets done,” he explained. Jackson said that seeing the kids and how happy they are after their games makes all of the hard work from himself and his team worth it in the end.
Jackson’s favorite part about USA CUP is the opening ceremonies. “It’s always the best part of USA CUP. Seeing everyone in the stands, hearing the music, and watching the teams excitedly come out of the tunnel is the most fun part of the tournament for sure,” said Jackson.
Thank you very much to Jackson and the rest of the Operations team for everything that they have done throughout USA CUP!
