Introducing today’s Faces of the CUP, Officer Arnsdorf! You can spot Officer Arnsdorf lending a helping hand across the National Sports Center campus by ensuring the safety of tournament attendees and stopping traffic to help people cross the street.
Arnsdorf has been a police officer for 8 years, and this is his 5th Target USA CUP. He explained that his favorite part about USA CUP is interacting with all of the players and their families as they walk by the crosswalk.
I asked Officer Arnsdorf if he had any safety tips for USA CUP. He responded, “Put your phones down and try to know where you’re going ahead of time. We see a lot of people looking around distracted, trying to find what field they’re going to. We get it, there’s a lot of fields, but try to know where you’re going ahead of the game.” Here is a handy map that shows you all of the different fields around campus! We hope this helps you find where you’re going ahead of time.
Arnsdorf’s words of wisdom to the players of the tournament are to “have fun and stay hydrated.”
Thank you, Officer Arnsdorf for your hard work throughout Target USA CUP. The tournament wouldn’t be possible without you and your team!
