This Newsletter will be released every Wednesday leading up to Target USA CUP 2023 and will contain essential information for your team to gear up for this year’s event. From paperwork deadlines to fun activities to campus updates, the Midweek Buzz will be there to help along the way. This newsletter is connected to the NSC (National Sports Center) Beyond the Bench blog where it will be archived each week to revisit.

Calling all Team Managers! Make sure to submit your pre-tournament ranking information on your Team Manager Account. Pre-Tournament Ranking information is due on June 7th, 2023.

Enjoy America’s pastime at beautiful Target Field, one of the premier sporting and entertainment venues in the Midwest located in Downtown Minneapolis. Come cheer on the Minnesota Twins as they take on the Chicago White Sox! (July 21 @ 7PM)
GET CERTIFIED WHILE AT TARGET USA CUP!
Unique opportunity for the coaches, athletes, and parents of your team! On Wednesday, July 19, Speak Up at Target USA CUP will be held serving three main pillars around mental health – expanding awareness, increasing education, and connecting with community organizations. To build on this, the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport (USC-MHS) is offering its ACT! Mental Health Awareness Certification course throughout the entire USA CUP event. The certification is like first aid but focuses on mental rather than physical health and includes conversation around mental health specifically within soccer.
With USC-MHS the official partner of Speak Up at USA CUP, the ACT! Certification is being offered at a cost lower than you will find at any other time!
Time slots will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis, so sign up early!

Volunteering Dates & Shifts: July 14th – July 22nd 2023
- Morning (7:00am – 12:00pm)
- Afternoon (11:30am – 5:00pm)
- Evening (4:40pm – 9:00pm)

- Field Managers
- Professional Medical Volunteers
- Opening Ceremonies Team Entrance
- Referee Transportation

Target USA CUP College ID Combine
Join us for the 3rd Annual USA CUP College ID Combine! The National Sports Center is hosting the 3rd annual USA CUP Premier ID College Combine. This ID Combine will help prospective student athletes participating in USA CUP Weekend or USA CUP learn about the college recruiting experience and showcase skills to college coaches. Stay tuned for college coach highlights and see who will be attending in 2023!
