BLAINE, Minn. 5/26/2023– The producers of Target USA Cup will host a qualifying event September 1-4 in Milton, Ontario. This is the first qualifying event to be held in Canada, the event will give teams the chance to win discounted entry to play in Minnesota at Target USA Cup in July of 2024. Target USA Cup is pleased to partner with Milton Youth Soccer Club and Cosmos Sports & Marketing to bring this event to Canada.
Target USA Cup is the largest youth soccer tournament in the United States. The tournament will be played for the 37th time this July in Blaine, Minnesota. Tournament organizers anticipate more than 1,100 teams from across the country and the world to play in the event. Target USA Cup has become known for more than just soccer as participants have the opportunity to participate in an Olympic style opening ceremony, dances, pin-trading activities, and much more at the event.
Canada is now the fifth location and third international location for a qualifier event. Other qualifier events are held in Utah and Texas in the United States, San Paulo, Brazil and Mexico City, Mexico.
“Hosting a qualifying event in Canada was an easy decision as we looked to round out our qualifier locations. We have had strong partnerships with clubs in Canada in the past and are excited to foster new relationships across the country. We are excited to bring this experience to our neighbors to the north,” Jen Een, Target USA Cup Director.
