Target USA CUP kicked off with our weekend tournament which began on Friday, July 8 and concluded this evening after a 2 hour weather delay.
With referees and players from 19 countries and 25 states, Target USA CUP its 36th tournament after it’s first tournament taking place in 1985 and a COVID break in 2020.
The weekend tournament marked the first time since 2019 that international teams and referees made their way back to Target USA CUP located at the National Sports Center.
In the 3 days span from July 8-10, 445 teams and 6,183 players visited the National Sports Center campus and played more than 920 games in the 3 day span.
After a fun filled weekend, Target USA CUP crowned 28 champions from ages 9-19U in both boys and girls divisions.
With a day off Monday for the Target USA CUP Premier ID Combine, Target USA CUP will resume for the weeklong tournament on Tuesday, July 12 with teams from Antiqua ad Barbuda, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, South Africa, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and 25 different US States.
