Did you know that the All American Girls tournament was one of the first all-female hockey tournaments in the U.S.?

The tournament, originally titled “All-American Women’s Intercollegiate Ice Hockey Tournament” began before midwestern schools established varsity women’s hockey and preceded the first NCAA sanctioned tournament by eight years. In 1995, the tournament expanded to include high school and youth divisions, making it the largest girls’ and women’s ice hockey tournament in the United States.

This year, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of this influential tournament. It’s less than 24 hours away, and we couldn’t be more excited!

All American Girls is back and better than ever. The tournament runs from November 11th-13th at the Super Rink. It includes divisions 10A, 10B, 12A, 12B, and 15A. Games are open to girls hockey teams that are sanctioned by USA Hockey or an International Ice Hockey Federation Affiliate.

The tournament is extra special this year because it will feature a 30th anniversary celebration on Friday night, highlighting the evolution of girls’ and women’s hockey with guest appearances from influential players, an All-American Girls jersey signing and live player interviews with Tim McNiff. So, if you’re registered for the tournament, make sure you attend the party on Friday!

The tournament will also debut a historic mural celebrating the humble beginnings and substantial growth of All-American Girls in the Super Rink.

Come out to the Super Rink for a weekend of intense games, guest appearances, and overall fun!

If you can’t make it to the Super Rink this weekend, catch up on what’s happening with our livestreams that’ll take place throughout the weekend on our social media.
